How Is JUVÉDERM® Administered?

Before treatment, the skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream or local anesthesia may be administered for comfort. Using precise injection techniques, your provider strategically places the filler to restore volume, soften wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. Most appointments take about one hour, including consultation, numbing, treatment, and post-care instructions. Mild swelling or bruising is common, and most patients return to their normal activities the same day or day after.

What Can I Expect from JUVÉDERM® Recovery?

Recovery after JUVÉDERM® treatment is minimal, and most patients return to their normal activities the same day. Mild swelling, bruising, tenderness, or redness at the injection sites is common and typically resolves within a few days.

Many patients notice an immediate improvement, with results continuing to refine as the filler settles and integrates with the surrounding tissue over the following two to four weeks. Depending on the JUVÉDERM® product used and the area treated, results can last anywhere from six months to two years.
